Terms

Terms of Service

These terms cover haluvra.com and the Haluvra app. You agree to them when you create an account or start Glow Up. If you only use the website, they apply to that too. If you don't agree, please don't use Haluvra.

1. What Haluvra is, and is not

Haluvra is a planning tool. It helps you see your debts in one place, estimate the month you could be debt free, and compare payoff plans. Every date, payment and savings number in Haluvra is an estimate. It's based on the numbers you type and assumes your interest rates and minimum payments stay the same. Your lender's math, fees and timing can be different, so check your statements before you make a big decision.

Haluvra is not a licensed financial advisor, and nothing on the website or in the app is financial, legal, tax or credit advice. All content is for informational purposes only. You are responsible for your own money decisions, and for checking anything important with your lender or a licensed professional. Haluvra isn't a credit counseling, debt settlement or debt relief service. We don't contact your lenders, negotiate your debt or make payments for you. Haluvra does not connect to your bank or move money, and it never asks for your bank or card logins.

The rate tools. The call script and the balance transfer calculator in Glow Up are ideas to try. We can't promise a lender will lower your rate or approve a transfer, and transfers often come with a fee. Read the offer terms before you apply.

2. Your account

You can use the free calculator and try the app without an account. To save your plan you create an account with your email address and a password. You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy Glow Up. When you create an account, you tick a box to confirm you're 18 or older and that you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. We save that record with your account. Keep your password private and use one you do not use elsewhere; you are responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us right away at hello@haluvra.com if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, and that removes your login and every number you saved.

3. Acceptable use

Use Haluvra for your own personal plan, the way it is meant to be used. Please do not:

  • break into, overload, scrape, or interfere with the website, the app or the accounts of others;
  • copy, reverse engineer, resell or build a competing product from the app, its code or its methods;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share;
  • pretend to be someone else or create accounts for other people without their permission;
  • use automated tools to create accounts or submit forms.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

4. Glow Up, free trials, billing and cancelling

The free plan is free. Glow Up is our paid plan. It costs $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year in US dollars, plus any sales tax we have to charge. You'll see the exact price before you confirm.

Our payment processor handles payments. You type your card on its secure page, and Haluvra never sees or stores your full card number.

Free trial. New members can try Glow Up free for 7 days, once per person. You need to add a card to start the trial. When you start a free trial, we email you a confirmation with the date it ends, the price and a link to cancel. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything. If you don't cancel, we charge your card on the day the trial ends. That date is shown on the screen when you start.

Automatic renewal. Glow Up renews on its own at the end of each month or each year, depending on the plan you picked. We charge the card on file the price at that time, until you cancel. On the yearly plan, we'll email you before each renewal. Once a year we'll also send a reminder of what you pay, how often, and how to cancel. Before you pay, the checkout page shows these renewal terms and asks you to tick a box to agree to them.

Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in the app: Settings, then Plan and billing. You don't need to email or call anyone. After you cancel, you won't be charged again, and Glow Up stays on until the end of the time you already paid for. Then your account moves to the free plan and your numbers stay where they are.

Refunds. Payments aren't refundable, unless this section or the law says otherwise. Yearly renewals: if your yearly plan renews automatically and you ask for a refund within 14 days of the renewal charge, we'll refund that renewal in full and your account moves to the free plan. This applies to yearly renewals only, not to your first yearly payment or to monthly payments. If you were charged by mistake or something broke on our side, email hello@haluvra.com within 30 days and we'll sort it out, including a refund when that's the fair thing to do. Our Refund and cancellation policy has the details in one place.

Price changes. If the price goes up, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first. A new price only starts at your next billing date.

Failed payments. If a payment doesn't go through, our payment processor will try again and you keep Glow Up while it does. If it still fails, your account moves to the free plan.

Referral program. When you have an account, you get your own invite link in Settings. A friend who creates a new Haluvra account with your link gets 1 month of Glow Up free. Once your friend adds their first debt in the app, you get 1 month of Glow Up free too. Free months add up, to a limit of 12 a year for each person. Invites only count for new accounts, once per person, and you can't invite yourself or make extra accounts to earn months. Free months have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money and can't be moved to someone else. We can change or end the program at any time. Free months you already received stay yours.

5. Reminders, calendar events and share images

Due date reminders, by email or in your calendar, are there to help you remember. They are not a guarantee. An email can be delayed, filtered as spam or not arrive, and a reminder is only as accurate as the due day you entered. You are still responsible for paying your lenders on time, so always check the due date on your statement. If your due day changes, update it in Haluvra; calendar events you already added stay on your phone until you change or delete them yourself.

Milestone share images are made on your device. You decide whether to share them and with whom, and you are responsible for what you post.

6. Your data

Your numbers belong to you. We use them only to build your plan, and our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, who helps us run Haluvra, and how to delete everything. By using Haluvra you agree to that policy too.

7. Our content

The Haluvra name, logo, design, text, blog posts and the app itself belong to Haluvra. You may use them as part of using the service, and you may share links and short quotes with credit. Please do not copy or republish the rest without asking.

8. No warranty

Haluvra is provided as is and as available. We work hard to keep it accurate, secure and online, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its estimates will match your real results. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Haluvra and its founder are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost money, interest, credit standing, or data arising from your use of the website or the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Haluvra in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

10. If someone makes a claim because of your use

If you break these terms or the law while using Haluvra, and someone brings a claim against Haluvra because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.

11. Changes and ending the service

We may change these terms, the app or the website. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or inside the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Haluvra after that means you accept the change. We may also close or pause the service; if we do, we will give you notice and time to export or delete your data where we can.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If you are located outside the United States, you may also have rights under the laws of your own country. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable local law.

13. Resolving disputes

Talk to us first. Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@haluvra.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.

Arbitration. If we can't resolve it, the dispute goes to binding arbitration with the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Each claim is handled on an individual basis, not as part of a class action, and both of us give up the right to a jury trial. Either of us can still bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@haluvra.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms. If you opt out, or if arbitration doesn't apply, claims go to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and you agree to that venue.

14. Who runs Haluvra

Haluvra is run by its founder from Los Angeles, California. If we move Haluvra into a company we own, or Haluvra is sold or merged, we may transfer these terms and your account to the new owner. You can't transfer your account to someone else.
